Understand the recruitment cycle before studying

The examination is conducted by the Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission under Advertisement No. 06/2025/Examination, dated 26 November 2025. The original advertisement announced 238 posts. Official corrigenda subsequently revised the recruitment, first to 239 posts and then to 265 posts. The latest confirmed vacancy figure for this cycle is therefore 265, distributed across twenty service or post categories. The recruitment includes roles such as Deputy Collector, Deputy Superintendent of Police, State Finance Service Officer, Assistant Commissioner State Tax, Labour Officer, Assistant Registrar, Chief Municipal Officer, Subordinate Accounts Service Officer, Naib Tehsildar, State Tax Inspector and other departmental posts.

Candidates should not study from a vacancy table copied from an earlier notice. The corrigendum chain is important because reservation totals, eligible post preferences and the number of candidates moving through the selection stages depend on the applicable revised notification.

Know the examination stages

The CGPSC State Service route uses a Preliminary Examination, a Main Examination and a final interview stage. The Preliminary Examination is a screening stage. Its marks are used to shortlist candidates for the Main Examination rather than directly determine the final service ranking.
