How does Leo’s attitude toward skateboarding differ from Jake’s, based on the story?

Jake stood at the top of the skate ramp, feeling his pulse quicken. It was a scorching summer day, and the air buzzed with the sound of skateboards gliding over concrete as kids zipped through the skatepark. Jake stared down the ramp, trying to muster up the courage to drop in. He’d seen his friends tackle this steep slope effortlessly, but when it was his turn, doubts crept in, making his knees feel unsteady.

“Jake! You’ve got this!” shouted his friend Leo from the base of the ramp. Leo was always the bold one, constantly trying new tricks and pushing his limits. While Jake was still working on the basics, Leo had already mastered moves like ollies and grinds. Seeing his friend’s confidence, Jake wished he could feel as sure of himself.

Understanding his hesitation, Leo climbed back up the ramp and gave Jake a reassuring smile. “Think about what we practiced yesterday. Remember to lean forward a bit and stay balanced. You handled the smaller ramps just fine, and this isn’t all that different,” Leo said.

Jake took a slow, steady breath, recalling the hours he and Leo had spent practicing. Leo had been patient, showing him the ropes and encouraging him at every step. “You don’t have to go down if you’re not ready,” Leo added, keeping his tone gentle. “But I know you’re prepared for this.”

Hearing Leo’s belief in him gave Jake a surge of confidence. Looking around, he realized most of the other skaters were busy with their own routines. He took one last deep breath, set his focus, and gave himself a small push forward.

The rush of wind and the speed made his nerves tingle, but his body seemed to remember all the little tips Leo had given him. By the time he reached the bottom, Jake felt an overwhelming sense of accomplishment. Leo cheered, and Jake’s smile widened. He had done it, not because he had to, but because he finally believed he could.
Select the answer
1 correct answer
A.
Leo sees skateboarding as an exciting way to push his limits, while Jake struggles with self-doubt when attempting something new.
B.
Leo thinks skateboarding is easy and doesn’t require practice, while Jake believes it takes effort to improve.
C.
Leo sees skateboarding as just a fun pastime, while Jake treats it as a serious competition.
D.
Leo prefers skating with large groups of friends, while Jake only practices alone and avoids skating with others.
