IBPS CRP RRBs XV mock-test strategy for 2026

4 min. 26/09/2026 26/09/2026

The IBPS CRP RRBs XV process covers Office Assistants and Officers Scale I, II and III. The official 2026 calendar gives separate preliminary dates for some groups and a common main or single-examination date, so candidates need a practice routine matched to their exact post.

Understand the two recruitment tracks

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection has published the Common Recruitment Process for Regional Rural Banks XV. The official notification page is dated 1 September 2026, with later updates shown on the IBPS website. The process includes recruitment for Office Assistants (Multipurpose) and Officers in Scale I, II and III.

These are related but not identical targets. Office Assistant candidates should build speed and consistency across the common objective areas required by their notification. Officer candidates must identify whether they are targeting Scale I, Scale II or Scale III and then follow the relevant official requirements. A single generic routine can hide important differences, so the first step is to label every practice session with the exact target post.

Use the official calendar as your planning anchor

The IBPS 2026–27 calendar lists the Officer Scale I preliminary examination for 21 and 22 November 2026. Officer Scale II and III candidates are shown with a single main examination on 20 December 2026. Office Assistant preliminary examinations are scheduled for 6, 12 and 13 December 2026, followed by the main examination on 20 December 2026. IBPS notes that dates may change for administrative or other official reasons, so candidates should continue checking the current notification and call-letter information.

The calendar is useful because it turns a broad recruitment target into stages. Candidates with a preliminary examination should first emphasise speed, selection of questions and accuracy under pressure. Candidates facing a single or main examination should allocate more time to the complete subject range and longer mixed tests.

Build a diagnostic baseline

Start with one timed mock test rather than several untimed topic sets. Record four figures: questions attempted, correct answers, incorrect answers and questions not reached. Then separate the mistakes into calculation errors, concept errors, reading errors and rushed guesses. This record is more useful than a score alone because two candidates with the same mark may need completely different study actions.

For reasoning, practise arrangement, logical conditions and data interpretation in small sets before combining them. For numerical work, focus on clean calculation habits and learn when to leave a time-consuming question. Language practice should include comprehension and vocabulary work, but candidates should also analyse why an option is wrong. A question bank becomes valuable when each mistake produces a clear correction rule.

Office Assistant practice priorities

Office Assistant candidates should aim for controlled speed. Complete short sectional sets several times per week, then use a full mock to test switching between subjects. Do not judge readiness only by the number of questions attempted. A stable accuracy rate with sensible question selection is a better foundation than an aggressive attempt count with repeated negative marks or avoidable errors.

Keep a revision list of formulas, recurring reasoning patterns, vocabulary problems and questions that required too much time. Revisit the list after two or three days, not only at the end of the month. Spaced review helps reveal whether an error was genuinely corrected or merely remembered for a short period.

Officer practice priorities

Officer candidates should keep the target scale visible in every study week. Scale I candidates can use mixed objective tests to strengthen the common areas, while Scale II and III candidates should give early attention to the professional or specialised content stated in the official notification. The correct subject list must come from the current CRP-RRBs XV documents rather than an old edition or an unofficial summary.

For the main or single examination, practise longer combinations and include sessions in which difficult questions are deliberately left for a second pass. This mirrors the decision-making skill required in a competitive paper: the candidate must protect time for solvable questions instead of spending the whole section on one attractive problem.

Do not ignore the application record

Candidates should keep a copy of submitted details, payment confirmation and official communications. Check spelling, category information, qualification details and the selected post before final submission. A mock-test product cannot correct an application error, and a high practice score cannot replace compliance with the notification.

Use only the official IBPS website and the current recruitment portal for dates, eligibility, call letters and changes. The IBPS calendar is a planning document, not a permanent guarantee of the final timetable.

Final readiness checklist

In the weeks before the relevant stage, complete mixed mocks under realistic time limits, review every wrong answer and compare performance across several sessions. A candidate is closer to readiness when scores are stable, careless errors are falling and difficult questions are being managed rather than feared.

Easy-Quizzz practice can support repeated questions, timed mocks and mistake review, but it is not IBPS and cannot promise recruitment. The best use of the product is targeted: use short quizzes to repair weak topics, full mocks to test pacing and detailed review to turn errors into repeatable improvements while continuing to verify every official update.
