What are the driving license classes in the New Brunswick Province?

What is a Class 4 driving license in NB?
Class 4 driving license in NB represents a professional driver’s license that allows the holder to operate taxis, ambulances, and limousines. The holder of class 4 driving license can also drive buses with a capacity of 25 passengers or less and small trucks that do not exceed 11,000 kg. To get such a license, the applicant must be at least 18 years old and have had a valid Class 5 driver’s license for at least two years.
Who can acquire a New Brunswick Class 4 driving license?
A Class 4 license allows a person to drive a taxi, ambulance, or another vehicle for hire, or a vehicle that transports more than 10 passengers.
To obtain a Class 4 license in New Brunswick, you must:
Be at least 18 years old
Have held a Class 5 driver’s license for at least 2 years
Pass a medical exam (maybe required)
Pass a written knowledge test with a minimum score of 80 percent
Pass an eye examination
Meet the requirements for being medically fit to operate the class of vehicle you wish to drive
How to get a Class 4 license in New Brunswick?
A Class 4 license is a commercial driver’s license (CDL). It permits you to drive a taxi cab, or a small public service vehicle, such as a school bus or limousine. You must be at least 19 years old to apply for this type of license. If you are under the age of 24, you need to have a minimum of two years of driving experience before you can apply. To get this type of CDL, you must:
Have a valid Class 5 driver’s license from New Brunswick or another Canadian province or territory.
Pass a vision screening test administered by Service New Brunswick (SNB).
Pass a written knowledge test administered by SNB.
Schedule and pass all three parts of the road test (knowledge test, pre-trip inspection, and driving skills) administered by SNB, if you are applying for a Class 4 license with an air brake endorsement. If you have held your Class 5 license for at least one year and have no infractions on your record, then you can take the knowledge test only and will not need to take the pre-trip inspection or driving skills road tests.
If you are applying for a Class 4 license without an air brake endorsement, then you only need to take the knowledge test.

What can I drive with a Class 4 license?
With a Class 4 driving license in New Brunswick, you can drive any car or light truck, including taxis and ambulances.
